I have the max drive thingy here folks, the usb key and 2 disks with it. Haven't used it in yonks so forget how to do it properly. Can someone give me a quick run by on what to do ? Ta.

I was going to get this in Game this morning, but was somewhat put off by the kid playing the Xbox 360 version being able to continually do those bloody twirl things and bring the ball out of defence with Joe Cole (England v Germany).

Basically, before I buy it, can long balls be effective, or is it all running and short passing?

It's a marked improvement from PES imho...:cool:

It's harder to score noe because shooting has been tweaked and the AI goalies and defenders are harder to beat. :cool:

It's tough to get a shot in in the box that won't get blocked by a defender.

Despite that, once you've got the shooting down, it's easy enough to score. And I've been playing on 4 and 5 star (I think it's called Professional and Top player now).

Keepers fumble a lot more. Following shots in has reaped many rewards for me so far.

When you first play you think that they've just reboxed PES5, but after a while you really notice the changes.
All in all, it seems quite good.

There is never any point playing PES on less than five stars. I feel like i'm cheating myself, I play for the challange - which is where the enjoyment comes in. I don't enjoy winning when I know that the AI is handicapped. I would never start a master league untill I unlocked 6 stars (though that is not available in this one ).

Joined the PES club (PC) despite my handicap of being utterly ***** at any type of game in the world ...ever.

Yep really enjoying PES, yes it has it's problems, such as every time you get a message at the bottom of the screen it slows down, but it does play a really good game of football imo. More enjoyable than 5 for me, where there were far too many fouls imo.
