See that's the problem..."vast majority" is not good enough. I'm on my 2nd PS2...first time I've ever had to re-buy a console ever and that also had the reputation of "vast majority"...The only way MS could sell me a 360 currently is if it comes with a life-time warranty.

That or I start to see a sharp fall in the rate of returns for faults etc.
I actually wouldn't have a problem if they had a service like Nintendo who fix products even if it's run out of warranty...or should I say don't even bother asking. They seem to fix stuff out of sheer embarrassment that one of their products has a fault or developed one.
