With the Intel chips you can run windows too. Then in future with time on your hands learn to use logic or whatever else you want.

Seriously recommend a mac when doing movies and sounds. Practically what they are designed for.

Having said that with you seemingly dead cert on a PC your are going to want the Raptors for cubase/os/samples and use your external for other stuff. Fire a good cpu in it probably the one everyone else is suggesting a load of ram from the sounds of it you are only using it for sound production is that correct? in that case any graphics card will do

It's an ok deal. Has intel shared graphics though so probably not upto playing many games at any sort of good level.

Likely to get a better deal off ebuyer for the same kind of money.

Fine for what your after then although save yourself some money or probably get yourself a bit better spec laptop shoppping around places like ebuyer and dabs usually cheaper than comet.
