Umbongo, I checked your profile but you are non-hotmail. If you're available on messenger then that'd be great also.

Definitely check the 64bit OS compatibility thing if you really need 4GB RAM. I don't do the sort of things you want so I can't really comment but if you can have 3GB of really fast RAM instead (maybe even DDR3 which is pretty expensive right now) you might save yourself some hassle down the line.
| He'll need it. In fact, quite a few building DAW's atm are going with 8GB (be it PC or Mac), as sample sizes are getting bigger, more ram = more samples/VST's loaded without the need to keep bouncing to audio.
I do agree about the larger second drive though. Some of the sample libraries being released now are in excess of 100GB. Install apps/VST's to first drive, second drive for VST libraries/samplebanks and use the external purely for recording projects/audio to.

That GPU is madness at that price  , either wait a little while for the new 8800 gts or try and find an etailer which has the 8800 gt in stock. The gt is within 10% of the gtx for about £180, and the gts will be about on a par with the gtx for what may be about 230-240 ish.

Or to save money check ebay there are numerous good deals.
As for the PC your going to want to crank loads of ram into too as all the programs you are using are ram hungry |

True but as I said there are some good deals on ebay for them just now so instead of spending £2500 on a pc could get a better deal on a Mac Pro for cheaper.
