If the running order is decided after the games, and based on which has the most goals and other noteworthy incidents, then they really have a strange order tonight...
(I'm not from the UK so never watched MoTD, in case it wasn't obvious)

I don't know what the criteria for MotD selection is - but recently they've been criticised for favouring the big-four, which ironically was one of the downfalls of ITV's coverage.
I don't think the number of notable incidents can be a factor - it's often remarked that some high-scoring games get ridiculously little coverage (eg 6 goals shown in 3 minutes).
On the otherhand, Derby would have the lion's share of coverage nearly every week if it was based on goals
