Saw some flashes outside earlier myself but couldnt work out if it was sheet lightening or just fireworks at the hotel that is a couple of hundred yards away.

Weather's been nuts down here in Cardiff for a few days now, had a nifty lightning storm yesterday morning/early afternoon with hailstones big enough to set off car alarms. Now having gale-force winds and lashing rain....which seems to be stopping because I can see patches of blue sky, and the trees are relatively vertical. Friday I went to work, walked 10 mins of the way as I usually do, five minutes from work the rain started lashing down and began to wash the dye from my hat. Utterly brilliant weather.
A thunderstorm in December ??
