Finally - possibly - found something. Going to look at a Suzuki GN125 tomorrow. Cruiser/Commuter style bike, so not the sports bike that I was after, but should do me through the winter.
The advert looks promising, 2000, Y Reg, vgc etc - £695 ONO, but tax/MOT till Feb, so hoping to knock the guy down to around the £600 mark.
The idea is to get something now, then do the DAS in the spring/early summer, certainly before the test changes.

Cheers. My scootae started seriously losing revs this morning, it's a zip 100 but I won't be able to register for that forum until tonight. Kind of worrying as it's only 6 months old. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Try a new spark plug. Air and fuel filters after that.
Has it got a manual choke ? Did you leave it on too long ?
Really, really nice bike. Great condition, little bit of surface rust on the exhaust, and a tiny dent in the tank, nothing else of note. It had clearly been looked after well.
Would need a new front tyre before the MOT - but it's all academic anyway - it was too low off the ground for me to be comfortable.
Now looking for a CG, DT, something like that. A Varadero would be perfect, but they hold their value very, very well, and you won't get one for under a grand apparently.
