I wiki'd him, he had a bit of a chequered past, including smashing some guys arm with a baseball bat up in a pretty bad way, cause he wrote about how he womenised and used drugs.

I was too young to remember his jump (or attempted jump) over the Snake River, but my brother wasn't. We would set up jumps for our bicycles and the running commentary was always that we were attempting to jump over the Snake River. Anyway, it was a bit odd to see the Snake River for the first time this summer, albeit not where the jump was made, as it was such a mythical place of my youth.
