I remember spending AGES on that World Cup resale site last year. Didn't get any

Very well aware, but it's a slightly shorter and cheaper trip to Austria and/or Switzerland from London than from New York. OK?

As for ticket brokers, how much do they generally charge for the earlier games? I have to be back in the States by the end of June, so I'm only looking for group stage matches. Any good ones you know that I can try to call up?

As for touts/scalpers? How much do they generally charge? How likely is that ticket be fake and not get me in the ground?

Thanks for all your help!

Managed to get 4 tickets to one of the last 16 games in Vienna, dunno if I will go like but still. eBay won't list tickets now so if you are looking to buy/sell you will have to look elsewhere.

Hoping to do the same. Not arsed about the England games though so hopefully I can get them easily over there in Austria/Switzerland

i'm the same.

applied but was rejected in the march ballot. Won't be getting a ticket through the travel club now that we haven't qualified but still want to go.

Would love to go to any of the matches, bar england probably. Was thinking of just heading out there and trying to pick up tickets, but wouldn't mind sorting it out before i go.

I started doing that until I found an automated program online that searched the resale pages hundreds of times a second, two computers working all day and night.

Everytime I was logged in it would beep and I'd have to check. Started to get annoyed being woken up at 3am to find I'd got Tunisia vs Iran AGAIN but it was all worthwhile

I used that program as well up all night waiting for tickets to appear and then being shattered all day at work ending up getting tickets for 7 games!

Getting the tickets was nearly as rewarding as going to the games :*)
