Have to agree that a 7 nations with everyone playing a team once as it currently stands would probably make the calendar a little big, but we can't deny Argentina from joining. It would seem the best option to make the tri-nations a 4-nations competition but looking at where all the Argentine players play, the 6 nations is the logical choice.
Contemponi made a good point on this tbh.
The Argentines playing in the Six nations is all well and good - so long as the European clubs continue to buy Argentine players. If that stops, what happens then?
They should be in the Tri-Nations competition, possibly with the Pacific islands playing there under one banner on a regular basis.
If they're in that competition, it puts pressure on the Argentine Rugby Union to look towards ways of ensuring that they improve the structure in Argentina to hopefully being able to get to the stage where they're able to provide at least one side for the Super 14s.
It'll also push the IRB into seriously looking at ways of synchronising the calendar.

Can't see us sticking Mauger at fly half to be honest, full expect to find him in his usual place, in the centres. Goode isn't THAT bad imo. His best attribute is by far his kicking and the distance he can get on it, but his decision making at times is utterly abysmal. Would welcome a replacement thats for sure, and I think having Loffreda join will persuade Hernandez to come at the end of the season, which would be just awesome.

Goode is the purveyor of inconsistency as far as i'm concerned, the game against the Blues was a perfect example. He either kicks brilliantly or woefully, which just isn't good enough when it comes to top flight games. Unfortunately he'll have to do for this season (except possibly Mauger).
As for Hernandez, its practically nailed on. He already tried to join in 2003 but couldn't, its just the huge cost of buying out his contract at SF thats the problem. At the end of the season we can get him for ~£250k which should be well worth it.

Watched gloucester today on sky was very enjoyable, they have a nice little half back who looked very very good.
As i said before i wanted Vainikolo to play well and thankfully he did. He's eligible to play for England too woo.
Dunno if any of you follow league either but i was watching Wales lose to Lebanon, Wales have players who are some of the biggest in the superleague (briers, harris) and they lost to a team i never knew existed haha.
