Tremendous performance from Scotland...

Defended deep but were extremely well organised and generally did OK on the counter. France had lots of possession and did get in behind us a few times but we managed to deal with pretty much everything they had. The goal was very well taken by McFadden and while the goalkeeper was done by the late swerve; the touch, turn and strike is worthy of great praise.

Every Scottish player did what was asked of them and tonight is one of the best result's in Scottish football history.

With even more young players developing all the time the future is certainly bright. Even if we don't qualify from the group (and we have a great chance) the squad (and managers) deserve immense credit for their own self-belief and spirit.

Long as we don't stuff it up in Georgia, no-one will beat this team at Hampden, no-one!

I feel like I've aged about 10 years since 8pm tonight

the whole team performance was brilliant, but I have to give huge plaudits to McManus and Hartley who were utterly astounding at times tonight with their blocks and tackling

I really cannot believe it, we are LEADING our European Championship group with 3 games left and Italy and France are below us it's like a fairytale or something

going to lose to Ukraine/Georgia though, blatantly but we'll enjoy the double for now

My throat hurts with all the shouting. What a result. I never thought we could possibly win tonight, but once again I've been proven wrong \o/

Still can't believe it.

Last time we visited France we got gubbed 5-0.

Now we're not just beating them, but keeping a clean sheet.

**** me.
