It's a gathering right? No game? So he's left out every player who's just left the U21's and has any potential or talent at all?

Or is there a B international that I'm missing?

I'm surprised at the inclusion of Steven Thompson. Is he doing well at Cardiff? I'd rather have seen Maloney tbh and I would've had Whittaker in there instead of Ian Murray for his pace and skill.

As much as I think Gow could be a decent international player in the future, I think it's far to early for him just now.

Imo, he's still trying to prove that he can do it reguarly at Falkirk level week in week out, never mind Rangers and Scotland level. One excellent December in 2 years doesn't make you international class.

Although, I expect him and hopefully Darren Barr to be included in the B squad.

3 of those have proved they aren't good enough, 1 is past it and the other doesn't look good enough. Not exactly a promising start by McLeish.

McGregor I assume? Put two decent centre-halves in front of him and he's no worse than Marshall, Alexander or Gallacher.

Anytime I've seen McGregor, he struggles on crosses and makes routine saves more difficult than they are. He's too flashy.

Players also deserving IMO:

Goalkeepers:

Dunno. How's Jamie Langfield playing at the moment? Can't be any worse than Gallacher?

Defenders:

Whittaker? Mark Wilson? (Injured?) McNamara? How's Berra playing?

Midfielders:

Thomson? Brown? Burke?

Forwards:

O'Connor? Riordan? Naismith? Fletcher?

Probably more.
