Bell and Flintoff have never been available for me and its now the middle of June.

in two seasons none of my English centrally contracted players have been available once. not too unrealistic I guess should at least be made free for semis and finals as is tradition, or did they change that? and I naively assumed Hoggard wouldn't play ODIs, but he does, and even if he didn't he probably wouldn't play for me anyway. Ruins the game a bit when you can never use your favourite players.

Also Anderson is always 12th man, and they've obv not coded in the whole 12th man substitute rule either

What the deal with the youth team? there doesn't seem to be one, so where do new players come from?

oh and for my third season I signed Sehwag and Afridi, but didn't bother to check if they'd be away or not, so I'll be without them for at least the first half of the season. Also signed Rob Key, Afzaal to replace Habib, Benning, Kabir Ali, and Onions, plus a couple of others. So my first team is now along the lines of:

Chilton
Key
McGrath
Afzaal
Benning
Foster
Batty
Smith
Broad/Ali
Mahmmood
Anderson/Onions

I think. Hoggard, Flintoff and Panesar all centrally contracted and Hoggard is due to retire at the end of the season anyway. Smith has a broken leg so Ali and Broad are playing right now.

aaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhh now it's gone and deleted or overwritten my saved game again, and I'll I can do is go back a season to that Surrey game again. I think I'm just going to stop playing until the patch comes out now, then start a new game

Been playing with Worcestershire, signed Stresanth and Pointing for the first year, along with bicknell and habib, won the county championship, 20/20, national league but came third in the regional trophy.

2nd year brought in sami and kaif, won the county championship again, but failed in the rest.

In to my 3rd year, with Harbijan singh and dohni as my two overseas players.

I've had pietersen, strauss, flintoff, harminson and jones for a couple of years and i have never been able to play them.

Despite Harminson being retired from one day internationals, he still is not allowed to play for me once england enter the one day internationals.

Good evening/night chaps. I'm now back from my four week drive round Europe - I'm out of the loop as far as the patch is concerned but the latest I know is that Midas are still looking at it. Will try and get a more thorough response for you sometime next week as well as reply to any questions that have been raised since I was last on here...

Scanning through messages whilst I was away here are some answers in no particular order.

1) Centrally contracted players do get released - I've tweaked this for the patch to make it happen more often as is now the case irl.

2) New players are generated when old ones retire.

3) If you sign overseas players who won't be available you can replace them. There is an issue with this but it is fixed in the patch.

4) Save games messing up has been looked into in the patch, hopefully it is now gone.
