I've come up against a problem, the England squad now contains Hoggard, Anderson, Flintoff, Panesar and Foster, (plus Batty for a while). Tendulkar has gone off to play for India. Loye is back from his broken leg though and doing ok, Cork has been covering for Anderson but been poor, Broad and Hodge got injured, but they're back now, and Horton is still out. So atm I'm playing with this team:

Chilton
Loye
McGrath
Hodge
Habib
Batty
Smith
Cross
Dawson
Broad
Mahmood

which is just getting me through, I came 3rd in my 20/20 group, but should qualify and I won the RND with 8 wins out of 8, still well clear at the top of the CC, though I did finally draw a game.

now McGrath has just got injured, so Sutcliffe is back in, just managed to scrape a win against Surrey. Foster has been left out of the England squad though

it's not saving the game beyond the Surrey game now, I've played it 3 or 4 times now, and everytime I load the game I have to play it again.

The computer is merely being realistic. It knows you shouldn't be beating Surrey with that 2nd Xi.

I've finally got it to save, doing well again.

Got to say I think the way fitness fluctuates doesn't seem realistic, Tom Smith may be a medium pacer, but I can have him bowl all day long and he'll still be alright, bowlers don't seem to lose much bowling ability when knackered. Meaning pace bowlers can easily bowl 10 over spells, which should be the exception, not the norm. Yet when a bowler has batted for just a few balls he starts the innings with quite a considerable loss of fitness.

Also I had Broad batting and his fitness started off really low, then climbed higher slowly, before dropping back then climbing again.

coming towards the end of the season, I'm miles clear in the CC, won the Pro40 with two games to spare, and am in the final of the 50 over competition, so I've started playing my players who haven't played all season, Sutcliffe made 198, Sutton made a 75, Keedy took 7 wickets in an innings, Hogg and Newby are taking wickets too. Basically I've got too many players, but I'm not going to want to get rid of them

Hopefully I can bring in a new opener for next season though, as I've been playing with just Chilton for the past two seasons.

The England squad now contains:

Flintoff
Foster
Batty
Anderson
Hoggard
Panesar

all from my side  plus Dawson got in for a bit, it's the offseason now, can't see Batty and Foster getting in during the summer much, but I think I still need cover to come in. As Smith has broken his leg (that's 3 broken legs in two seasons for my players) and will miss the first half of the season, I think he would've pushed for an England place this season otherwise.

So my attack is now
Broad
Mahmood
Batty
Dawson
Anderson/Hogg

If I can't sign a decent seamer or two then I'll have to bring in an overseas player, and one who won't be off midseason. Which is a shame because my batting line up needs work too and I was planning on bringing in two overseas batsman.

Though I probably could get away with the attack above tbh.
