| It also depends on how much you talk on the phone too, if you are talking on any phone for long periods of time, then the battery will run down quickly.
My battery tends to last for approx 2 days, and that's with fairly frequent use

The only downside is it is a bit on the large size, but not a great deal bigger than previous phones, and not bad considering what is actually in it. I would recommend a 2GB memory card and memory card reader as mentioned above, for quick transferring of music, and for downloading the maps too.
Excellent phone
| What network are you on mate?

I'm going to get one of these on Saturday. My contract is up with O2 and, as I can't get decent reception in my flat with them, I'm going to move providers.
My work phone (BlackBerry) is on Vodafone, and I seem to get a decent enough signal on that in the flat - but from what I understand people from different providers have different experiences with the N95 (e.g. apparantly Orange is an absolute bug filled nightmare!).
Anyone here got an N95 on Vodafone? - Experiences?
| I've heard that you can use some hack thing to change the settings of the phone if the firmware is locked by the company (I know Vodafone do this). See the quote from the bloke below (taken from a review site). Quote: |
First thing you must do with this phone is update the software to the latest version. If the phone is branded use the nss hack to change the product code to euro1 0536062 and update using the nokia firmware updator - this also puts back any features certain operators in the UK have chosen to remove (but note this does not remove any simlock) The phone is then supurb. Battery life is not the best for a phone but is better than the pda it replaces. All the features work well.
| Anyone done anything like this?

Shameless uppage for the night crew
I need to be 100% sure before I get one of these. Vodafone really is the only option as well I think.

T-Mobile do it for 89.99 and 12 month contract @ 35 quid. Is this thing usable without web and walk?
Do the networks charge when it connects to gprs...I'm very tenpted but it's a bit of a waste of minutes and texts as I won't use that much.

I found that my N95 is appearing to suffer from screen burn! mid-way down the screen is a burnt in time and the screensaver bar.
that, plus the fact that my orange locked phone often disables the microphone (requiring me to set to loudspeaker and back again), i am not so happy!
