You sure they're not trying to make you get something else. Do they even have stock?

Go to Nokia.com and download Nokia software updated (NSU) and keep your eyes peeled. A new version of the N95 firmware is available in Nokia service centres and im assuming it will be making its way to NSU soon(ish)
Press *#0000# to find out your current firmware and keep looking for a new Firmware release.
The NSU Works for all N series phones, so if youe N80/70/73/90/91 etc is a bit crap, try new firmware.
***Disclaimer***
Back-up ALL data if you are going to use it, Get the correct firmware for your model and make sure you dont make/answer calls, text or turn off your phone while updating, or you will end up with an expensive Brick.
Not my problem.

Also if you characterise the battery properly on the 1st charge then you should get good battery life. They recommend that you do an initial charge of 16 hours (even if it says the battery is full) then discharge it fully and repeat twice.
Obviously using GPS, Bluetooth and 3G will sap the battery life considerably. That applies to any phone so I always make sure that on my N73 bluetooth is off unless I need it on, 3G is only on when I'm surfing and I exit any running apps when I'm finished with them. I'm sure that by following these tips you can get a good 72 hours standby.

| Have a look at www.gsmarena.com. Good honest reviews IMO. Always my first choice when looking at a new phone. N95 e65 |

Still got a bar left on the phone after yesterday btw CoT. Messed about a bit and made a couple of calls since last night really and it was on 1 bar (5 bar display) then. I really see no difference between the battery and other Nseries phones.

You could be lucky - there's a lot of people pretty ****ed off at it at the moment. Then again, you will have probably done the sensible thing and charged it properly.
Been interested in these computer-phones for a while - what kind of battery life do rivals have in comparison to the N95?

Not just luck, the number of times I have to turn off about 5 open applications on my mates N73 that he doesn't realise he's left running just slowing it down and draining battery is amazing. People think you're just runnning the app you're using and don't close anything down.

well im probably going to stay with vodafone as its the cheapest out of tmobile/orange and 02 at £100. although if i say im going to cancel maybe they'l give me abit off the price or do it free
also i always charge new phones up fully and normally leave them overnight anyway.
It best had last 18 months though |
