was about as average as a top gear episode gets today. still very watchable, couple of good features, just wasn't quite as consistently excellent. a mere blip i'm sure.

I thought it was a good solid episode. I still see the big challenges etc as a bonus rather than the norm.

My housemate was watching top gear for pretty much the first time tonight. As the motor home racing got a bit heated she watched open mouthed exclaiming how dangerous this show was.

I then informed her about Hammonds crash, the car ice hockey/football, People Carrier racing, making a space shuttle, driving ancient cars into brick walls and the 101 other things top gear have done which have involved explosions/crashing cars on purpose.

Yeah, wasn't as good as usual tonight, but that's just because they've set such a high standard.
Did get better toward the end though after a boring start.
