Isn't something allowed to be the same for a length of time and still be appealing any more? When did this need for things to constantly change arise?

People saying "OMG BEST EPISODE EVA" are a bit far off the mark, but it was still a good episode and still miles better than the majority of the dross on tv. Don't ever change.
