make it simple ffs | CRUK don't usually allocate their places for certain until after the Ballot - certainly haven't the last couple of years. Generally they'll offer people guaranteed places, but ask them to enter the ballot too so they can reallocate as many as possible after November (get as much cash as possible that way).
Llama - not so. Each year I've bequeathed and not had my money taken till around the ballot date. (In the last couple of years, successful people have generally been a day or two earlier than unsuccessful ballot entrants). Nick - you'd be fine bequeathing (if you want) so long as you've got the cash available in your account by late October.

I was under the impression that they would take the money straight away if you bequeathed and entered online, but it goes as you said for normal ballot applications.

haha, I wonder what proportion of would-be runners are actually even vaguely capable of completing this race.
going by this thread, I'd say 10%. ul.

Depends what you mean by capable tbh. If you don't mind what time you do it in, and have the neccersary willpower, I'd imagine a fair few people could do it, no?

Confirmed ballot entries in here from the following so far.
Kolin
Matt Cavanagh
Herman Bloom
Nick OGS20 not that he confirmed it in here he did say he had dont it when we were down at Wembley
Bagpuss
BBB
any others i've missed??
at least 5 online entrants there so far so law of averagesd says one of us will get a spot.
Those liable to not do it even if they get a space would be Nick according to BBB.
I have a 18 week training plan if people are interested that only requires 3 runs a week with a optional 4th run. Start date relative to April 13th 2008 would be Monday 10th December 2007
