I like him on panel shows and presenting. But there was an hour long bit from one of his live shows on channel 4 in the last few weeks, and it was distinctly average.

I went to watch him last week in Blackburn.

His banter with the audience is not awesome at all. He has it all rehearsed. He did the one you quoted, he did the dance for me monkey boy one.

He's reasonably witty and some of his one liners are pretty good, but he overdoes the whole smut angle and sometimes his deliberately dry delivery can work against him. In other words, he's passable, but there's definitely funnier.
