Ok, so far I've gathered that Oblivion is an RPG game and everyone loves it. I don't have much experience with RPG games but has anyone out there played the downloadable RPG "Ancient Domains Of Mystery" also known as "ADOM" and would they reccomend Oblivion to someone who really likes ADOM despite being useless at it!

mate, my first PC RPG was rogue which i guess is what adom is like.

you'll probably like it, just a shame that there are no demos for games like this. (or are there??)

I quite fancy an rpg but never really got into Morrowind. I got frustrated with the p!ss poor combat system and having to walk for ever and ever.

Anyone know if these have been improved upon?

Yeah, combat is realt time and you have to swing your weapon and hit for it to hit, you can now fast travel, ie. pick a place on the mao and get there immediately if you've been there before.

But walking and exploring was my favourite bit Neil.
