as someone who has not played any elder scrolls game can some explain to me what these games are about and how they play
Sort of RPG-type games. You build up your character's stats and all. There's a main quest, although the thing about the TES games is that they're meant to be so large. So there are plenty of other quests, and you can build up ur character however you want to. I thought Morrowind was ok, but got bored because of the long travelling times, although this version is meant to be better in that respect. Still, loads of detail and all. You can even hunt deer and stuff (and so can NPCs if they're good enough) </BLOCKQUOTE>
More than a few mods available to combat that problem </BLOCKQUOTE>
Apparently the map is 140% the size of Morrowind, about 16 virtual square miles
I'll be getting it on Saturday as I have to put my pay cheque into the bank.
Then as I'm a relatively slow game player I might just about finish it in time for the next Elder Scrolls game
I have Morrowind for both the XBox and the PC, and I really don't see the alure of the game on a console. Control system always seems more difficult and cumbursome, and the lack of mods ruins the game for me, as once you have played through it's kinda boring the second time round.

PC all the way for games like this tbh.
Agree with that
Mods for this kind of game enhanced the game a lot and keep the game going for much longer
Although this time I might have to go with 360 option since buying new laptop is a lot more expensive

Lying on my bed with a wireless controller and a 27" Samsung HDTV >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t; sitting at a bloody desk with a 19 inch monitor using a keyboard and a mouse - which is what I have to do at work all day also.
