Jol can **** off if he thinks he's going to manage a national side. Although this is the first I've heard of it and it's from someone that was reading a piece of ****, so it ain't 100% accurate I'd imagine.

That is NOT a fact.

The Swedish title was decided in a playoff among the 4 best placed teams those years so Malmö finished as number one in the regular season five consecutive times 1985 to 1989 but only won the title (championship) twice 1986 and 1988.

Jol would be my pick ahead of the lot who have declared their interest in the job so far tbh.

Those qualifying round wins (1985-1989) are NOT recognized as titles in Sweden. Compare to the current format in Mexico. Getting most points in the round robin stage does not equal winning a title.

It's still very impressive results he managed in Sweden.

Flabs, Kenny is right for once, you shouldn't read those ***** newspapers.

Wouldn't mind Jol that much. At least he knows how to make Keane effective.

Jol too good for ROI, they wouldnt be able to get him. Not really any stand out candidates, but i suppose anyone is better than Souness.

It's not the most attractive of jobs to be honest. The new manager won't have that many (any) quality players to deal with when he arrives. Out of the current squad I'd rate Dunne as our most important player, never thought I'd be saying that about him. Then you've got Keane, Given and Finnan next in line. If Stephen Ireland gets his act together he could be a huge asset for the team. Forget about Duff, the guy's finished. And the rest I don't rate at all really.
