Many's the time I've pulled WCR up for posting somebody else's post from the Bohs message board. Frequent thing actually.
Hodgson for me too. Here's my thoughts on it, which I've posted before on the Bohs mb before anyone jumps down my throat.
Quote:
He took Switzerland to 2 major finals in a row.
He's currently manager of Finland who still have a chance of qualifying. Okay they mightn't, but he's vastly turned their fortunes around.
He has managed some big name clubs sides including Inter twice, where they got to a UEFA cup final. In Sweden he won 3 league championships with Halmstads, and 5 titles in a row with Malmo. He's won the league in Denmark. He got Blackburn into Europe in his first season in charge.
Was favourite for both England and Germany jobs at one stage, but the former in the end went for a foreign coach (SGE) while the latter opted for a domestic one (Vogts).
His experience and success with nations on a par with Ireland is the big swinger for me.
Yeah I'd go along with the Hodgson reasons listed above, plus the fact he is an outsider and will be a fresh start. Jewell should be ruled out for the fact he has never played or managed in a European game, let alone international football.
Word in the Express and Star is that the ol' racist Big Ron is "Interested" in the post.
Interview on Irish radio and he claimed that "not managing on the international stage" was one regret of his career.
Hes a consultant now at Halesowen Town, and writes in the Baggies programme each week, last time persuading Albion fans down to "The Grove" to watch Halesowen play!

No tar!
Pretty sure that Big Ron has pumped a fair bit of his own cash into the Yeltz - a factor which got Morrell Mason to take the manager's job at the club.
Can't see Ron jacking that all in for a shot at international management - even if it is Ireland...
