Six.Point.Five Going to see this lot on Saturday. They are very good and one for the future hopefully, super ska punk tunes and are very enjoyable live.

King Prawn and Capdown are two already mentioned but are two kings of the genre. So aggrieved I only ever saw KP once especially as since I've come to appreciate their earlier stuff far more. Capdown are just awesome, I was largely sceptical about wind up toys but having heard the songs live they are better and the album has grown on me, still not up to Civil Disobedients standard.

In fact last years Reading line-up on the saturday was great, Sonic Boom Six, Captain Everything!, Capdown, Adequate Seven almost one after the other.
i'd agree with all of that appart from 1 band, I saw Sonic Boom Six in Wycombe years ago and they are one of the worse bands i've ever seen, they didn't help by slagging off the crowd themselves though.

so they've been mentioned here and there in here, but are there any really big Dropkick Murphys fans on here other than me?

Oh and I don't know if there are any Me First and the Gimme Gimmes fans, but they're doing three shows here in June/July.

June 29th - The Forum, London
June 30th - Carling Academy, Birmingham
July 1st - Carling Academy, Newcastle.

Frankly odd support of Sugarcult, but there you go.

part of some of the Set Your Goals/No Trigger UK tour dates here:

07.08.2007 UK Kingston The Peel
08.08.2007 UK Brighton Engine Rooms
09.08.2007 UK Newport TJ's
13.08.2007 UK Glasgow Barfly
15.08.2007 UK Manchester Music Box
20.08.2007 UK Stoke on Trent Sugarmill

there is rumoured gigs in Leeds, Southampton and possibly Birmingham as well

I got my ticket for Glasgow through the door today, despite not having my ticket for Biffy Clyro (1st June) and Muse at Wembley (16th) must be the earliest I've received a ticket

Recommending No Comply? I like you...
They're the only band that I've actually felt upset when I heard they split up (on my birthday as well!) Went to their last gig in London though

I like all the bands you mentioned pretty much. Just need to give The Once Over and Crazy Arm a listen...

Few more british bands I'd recommend:
Milloy
Pendleton
The Filaments
The King Blues
Down and Outs
The Ruined
Five Knuckle
$up
Farse
Phinius Gage
4ft Fingers
The Steal

Fair few of those have split up too though

Felt upset when I heard about the Bear Vs. Shark and the ATD-I breakups.

Really want to go and see Set Your Goals, shame I live in mid wales, am only 17 and don't have friends who like this type of music
