The Punkorama series was great for a time but seemed to lose its way around No 5 and beyond where it became quantity over quality. The Fat Music samplers were great as well.

I have no ideas what albums have been released this year, one of the few I've got though is Tim Armstrongs. I have little idea of the bands who're still around these days I still almost always listen to the mid 90s stuff.
Agree about the Punk O Rama's the last 2 were dreadful, 3 or 4 were the best for me!

I was thinking individual and as a collective, shall we wait until December though?
Definitely wait, I still need to catch up on many of this years albums. Although I find I never really know until about March/April the next year...
Hasn't been a whole lot out this year though has there?

Just read on Scenepointblank that Paint It Black are releasing a new album in Feb'08, three years since their last...and what I thought was their last as a band since Lifetimes return this year.
For those who don't know, Paint I Black features members (and ex members) of Lifetime and Kid Dynamite.
Good times.
