Fightstars new album has some great tunes on it, not sure if it really fits in with this thread though.

Suprised that the new Angels and Airwaves album isnt actually that ****, Much better than the 1st. Suppose that wasn't hard though was it

Also I've been meaning to listen to The Casualties for a while now, thought they were awesome at Reading Festival despite them playing without their singer.

Haven't listened to new Angels and Airwaves yet. Can't be arsed with 10 minute of distortion wankery before hearing any lyrics.

really isnt too much of that this time, obviously it's not a patch on any Blink album or Boxcars for that matter but it's a great improvement.

He's even singing about skateboards and punk bands in 1 song

Haha I believe that's called 'regression'

Probably realised that no one cares that he has matured.

Blink 182 still my favourite care free pop punk band.

AVA's album cover is possibly the worst I've seen in a long time, didn't like any of the first album so I don't see the point in bothering with album 2

haven't found anything new to listen to tbh, still Rise Against, No Trigger, Set Your Goals, A Wilhelm Scream. On the hardcore idea it's basically The Bled and The Dillinger Escape Plan (they are hardcore bands, if not punk I guess) Think I'm waiting for the new Rise Against album next year and hopefully new ones by No Trigger and SYG and in the hardcore punk idea, the new one by This Is Hell should be class

Latest Rise Against was shocking so don't hold much hope for the new one.

Keep meaning to give No Trigger and Crime in Stereo a proper chance but something else always comes up.

Didn't really take to A Wilhelm Scream tbh.

I'm still searching for a band (AM!/Set Your Goals) that will genuinely excite me and make me consistently happy whenever I listen to their music.

The album cover is awful, it's like a Star Wars poster or something

But yeah you're right about regression, if you read interviews with Tom now he's got all sorts of excuses for being a bit of an idiot around the time the 1st album was out. Even blamed some of it on painkillers for a serious back injury.
