How to Clean Everything is really good, they got that reggae track on there. It's pretty powerful stuff.

Are they still going these days?

Yeah they are, they're also working on a new album.
Which could mean that we only wait 3 years rather than the 5 that we're used to.

Lyrically they are my favourite punk band, they really stand for something and the lyrics are clever.

Yeah their ok I guess. Sometimes their a bit anti-everything though which gets a bit dull.

Dead Kennedys are my favourite band for lyrics.

just noticed somebody has upped this, it's not out yet but has appeared on sources

the new A Wilhelm Scream album is simply brilliant, called Career Suicide - the title is most certainly not accurate, this is brilliant. Better than Ruiner I reckon by miles and I've not really been much into this band, quite enjoyed them supporting Rise Against but this album is something else

possibly the most relentless punk album I've heard since Rise Against's Revolutions Per Minute (although I'm only a relative novice with this sort of music)

Going to see NOFX in November

Three and a half years since I saw them on my birthday, so excited.

Really like Against Me!'s new album now, but this year hasn't been all that great with regards to new releases, really nothing stands out for me.

Someone recommend me some stuff I won't know.

Yeah the new A Wilhem Scream is good. Listened to it whilst running the other night and it certaintly provided me with some motivation

Will have to give it another few listens but it's rare that I'm in the state of mind to hear a full on hardcore record like it. It doesn't let up it's breakneck pace.

Poolies, Against Me! are my favourite band and the new one is one of my albums of the year, alongside that is 'The Gaslight Anthem' who released an excellent debut album which fuses punk/indie/rock/blues together into something awesome.

As Colorado said, I need a few other bands you like as 'punk' encompasses a load of different subgenres. From nofx I got into other Fat Wreck bands which lead me to Anti-Flag and Propagandhi who are my favourites from that label.

If you're checking out Propagandhi try 'How to clean everything' and 'Less Talk more rock'.

Against Me! - October 31st and Nofx - November 3rd \o/

I dont really know much about the bands on FAT these days. The label used to have quite a disticntive sound which was good but these days I cant even get into the Mad Caddies newer material.

I love the Live in the Fat Lane comp. One of my all time favourite punk comps along with Punk O Rama 3.

They dont even release the comps anymore though!

Rant over

Decided to resurrect this thread.

Recently I've been listening to loads of Propagandhi, Potemkin City Limits has really grown on me and it's now a favourite album.

Saw Against Me!, Nofx and The Loved Ones a couple of weeks ago. They were all tremendous.

The Loved Ones played some new material which sounded really good, they have a new album due out soon. Set Your Goals will also begin working on a new album soon \o/

It's annoying that the Falcon's album is horrific compared to their amazing e.p.

Also been listening to Strike Anywhere a bit over the last few weeks, Extinguish is a great, great song.

Finally gave Leftover Crack a try as well and I was less than impressed, a couple of good songs (Gang Control is a stand out) but the singer is poor and inaudible imo. I realise that they're worshipped for their political message as well.

So pals, any new music I should be listening to?
