This thread has been upped at just the right time.
One of the most important post-hardcore bands from the UK,Spy versus Spy have reformed for one last tour and for the release of their complete discography.

You can find the complete discography in a double cd here.

Possibly the most important release of this year.

Yeah when I realised I was going to see NOFX I started listening to The Loved Ones. They're a very decent band, they have a new album due out early next year \/

Quite like both Avail and Daggermouth, nothing mind blowing though.

I must again recommend Cobra Skulls, well worth checking out.

Were SYG good? Pretty gutted I missed out on them tbh. Although I think I've pretty much overplayed their album now.

I hate ska

Have heard and read a fair bit about them, definitely sound like someone I should check out. Gravitiy DIP too, may buy this  Playing in Stoke on the 8th which I shall probably also go to, s'only something like £4 and sounds like it'll be worth it despite not knowing their material.

Posted by Kris Roe of The Ataris in his blog: "Musically I will always have a love in my heart for those bands that inspired me to start writing songs.... Jawbreaker, Samiam, The Replacements, Descendents... I very much enjoy the energy of playing music along those lines. Even though artistically I may have changed personally. I do think The Ataris next record will sort of pick up where "end is forever" and "Blue Skies..." left off. After making a record such as "Welcome the Night" A record which I feel was very bold and honest artistically, and very much coming from the most truthful places in my heart and all that I was going through at the time. I feel that today where I am at is sort of coming around full circle and just having fun again and being newly inspired by the art that made me discover music in the first place. So yeah, I am excited for recording again. I think you will dig the songs."

\o/ Kris has realised making an indie album was a **** idea, The Ataris are back

i'm liking the sound of www.myspace.com/mevshero at the moment, one of many bands around that seem to be copying the SYG style.

Sounds like Bouncing Souls meets some emo/rock band..

Dunno if these guys are big are not but it sounds completely original and just not very good in my opinion. How exactly is that punk if it's supposed to be punk even? Doesn't do nothing for me.

Was going to bump this earlier.

Been listening to a lot of Propagandhi lately, and it occured to me that I rarely listen to TETA. Decided to listen to it and by god it's awful. Only like 2-3 good songs, basically sound like a metal band.

Less Talk, More Rock>>How to clean everything>>>>>>Potemkin City Limits>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>TETA imo.

Thoughts?
