Heh, it never grabbed me at all on the couple of listens I had. The pacing was all messed up, a few fast songs to build up the pace then you get some slow spanish song. really weird and just wasn't a touch on previous ones.

You going to see them in November?

London, November 4th

Three and a half years since I last saw them. Which was on my 19th birthday. So long ago

At least they're playing the Decline live

I've never seen them live so it should be cool. Hopefully they play some of their older stuff, as that's what I'm going for really.

I am ashamed to point out that I never really listened to The Decline. Is it really worth checking out?

Can see why you'd think it would be tedious, but it's probably their most accomplished song.

to be honest, Paramore are rubbish, the girl is an aright vocalist but 3/4 of their "fans" are either girls or they (more guys than girls though) love/stalk her, Against Me sound like a poor version of The Offspring who themselves are pretty gash except for a few songs and Sum 41 should have stayed with the sound they got off Chuck cause that was a really good album. They decided to go back to the earlier stuff and apart from some songs, it's another disappointment

Bad Religion is someone I don't really bother with, so I couldn't tell too much about them

anyway there have been some aright stuff this year for me: new Every Time I Die album is good, CBK's album was good, The Ghost Of A Thousand's album is good, Sanzen (one of those bands off In At The Deep End records) released a class album and there is still a lot to go with The Bled, This Is Hell and other sorts to come

Yeah the music hasn't been the best lately imo. What on earth has happened to Epitaph Records?? I used to love the music they put out now I hardly know any of their bands.

Best release I've heard this year is Tim Armstrongs 'A Poets Life.' It's really good.

Enjoy seeing NOFX live, I saw them a few years ago on Deconstruction with Mighty Mighty Bosstones and others just after they realised Pump Up The Vallum. They were awesome live.

Read the other day that Capdown have split up too. Never really into them but they were one of the top punk/ska bands here.

Against Me! are playing Carling in Birmingham and Manchester at the end of October. Pretty sure I'll be going to the Birmingham one.
