2003 was one hell of a year for music, looking at those two lists. Loads of absolute classics, I won't make a list of my own because it will be too difficult and most of my favourites are covered in those lists except Godspeed You! Black Emperor's Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, which isn't exactly punk anyway.

by, "isn't exactly" do you mean not at all?
God Speed are great though
Sonic Boom Six however are one of the worse bands i've ever seen, can't remember if i've said it here before but they were terrible.

New band from Manchester, awesomeness in a Melodic Hardcore shaped box. Remind me of early Strike Anywhere with The Steal/Kid Dynamite/Set Your Goals vocals...

Not bad at all, could be quite good.
Guessing that The Steal and Kid Dynamie have similar dual/gang vocals to SYG then?

The Movement Library do sound ace, only be around for about a year aswell, good things.
They sound pretty much like everything alreay meantioned (minus points for With Honour) but they've also got a bit old of Champion or Floorpunch in them.
In other news, ive been listening to TheCastingOut, featuring ex members of BoySetsFire, ace chiller songs. Thecastingout

They been around that long? Figured they were really new due to the number of myspace friends they had, good stuff though yeah.
Why minus points for With Honor? I listened to their "This Is Our Revenge" album when I was out earlier (as well as Lifetime - Lifetime, The Steal - The Steal, Belvedere - 'Twas Hell Said Former Child, Gallows - Orchestra of Wolves and Only Crime - To the Nines)
Lifetime doesn't annoy me at all, I was being silly, it's ace.
Will have to check them, I keep getting myspace bulletins telling me about their new band. Want more chillout type stuff, was dissapointed with Sundowner though (granted I've only given it one listen...)
BSF is boysetsfire though isn't it? Not that it matters much but ykno...

I just dont really buzz to With Honor, I bought their cd on someone's reconmendation.
I was intrigued by the sticker on the front (which I left on it) saying:
"The future of hardcore...Embracing a time when message meant more than image".
For fans of Rise Against, Comeback Kid and Thrice!
At first I thought that a bizarre combo of bands, but it did grab me.
First listen I realised that there wasnt much of a message here and a few of the songs seemed a bit lazy.
How ironic that it was released by Victory.

Ha, I bought the cd because I read a review I think. It did come with that sticker though, and the Thrice and Rise Against comparisons are way off. Basically just picking two popular bands to sell a cd...
Not one of my favourite bands at all but still reckon they're pretty decent. They were ok supporting Ignite wen I saw them together, Ignite were way better though...
