I was expecting a more Dillinger Escape Plan type band in Fall of Troy, but nowhere near that...

Anyone for a random list?

Was bored tonight, so decided I'd make a list. A list entitled "My top 25 albums of 2003" (a randomly picked year btw)

1. Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute
2. Billy Talent - Billy Talent
3. Strike Anywhere - Exit English
4. Lightyear - Chis Gentleman's Hairdresser and Railyway Book Shop
5. Bouncing Souls - Anchors Aweigh
6. The Lawrence Arms - The Greatest Story Ever Told
7. The Movielife - 40 Hour Train Back to Penn
8. Hell Is For Heroes - The Neon Handshake
9. Mad Caddies - Just One More
10. Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb
11. AFI - Sing the Sorrow
12. Belvedere - 'Twas Hell Said Former Child
13. Adequate Seven - Songs of Innocence and Experience
14. Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning
15. Whitmore - Smoke the Roach
16. Death By Stereo - Into the Valley of Death
17. Thrice - The Artist in the Ambulance
18. The Distillers - Coral Fang
19. Sick Of It All - Life On the Ropes
20. King Prawn - Got the Thirst
21. Less Than Jake - Anthem
22. Dropkick Murphys - Blackout
23. The Bronx - The Bronx
24. NoFX - The War on Errorism
25. Anti Flag - The Terror State

Don't think I've missed anything. Top four way ahead of everything else. Top 2 in my top 10 albums of all time. Anything from 13-25 fairly interchangable. Also realised it's not a great year for albums, and I should have done 2001 instead (I may do this at some point in the next few hours/days/weeks too)

Making random lists ftw

Remember when Whitmore got in a little trouble for "kidnapping" that kid on tour a few years back?

Hmmmmm 2003, don't have enough to make a top 25, so will make a top 10.

1. Against Me! - Acoustic e.p
2. Against Me! - As the Eternal Cowboy
3. Bear vs shark - Right now You're in the best of hands
4. Anti-Flag - Terror State
5. Rise Against - Revolutions per minute.
6. Weakerthans - Reconstruction site
7. Nofx - War on Errorism
8. The Mars Volta - De-loused in the Comatorium
9. Jedi Mind Tricks - Visions of Gandhi
10. Whitmore - Smoke the Roach

Two Against Me! releases make it a great year  Some other good stuff there as well, a lot of those albums aremy favourite albums by the band (Anti-Flag, Weakerthans, The Mars Volta) and quite a few would be in a potential favourite album list.

all these UK bands remind me of the trip we used to take to Wycombe to this pub called the White Horse.

good times...

Whitmore, Spunge, Spankboy(solabeat alliance), graveltrap, Mixtwitch, Farse, Gash, 4 ft Fingers and even Bowling For Soup before they were big

Whitmores newest album was so bad, apparently they finished because the old album was still outselling the new

Heh, used to love all them when i went through a ska punk phase. Iirc most of them were on the label 'MoonSka' or something like that anyway. Spankboy - set it off was such a good song. Same as farse - hopskotch.

yeah Set it Off was amazing, kind of reminded me of Sum 41 - Fat lip.

yeah they were mostly on Moon Ska Europe I think, nearly all these bands were on the Compunktion Cd's you could buy at the shows.

Used have a massive crush on Laila K for years.
Another Moon Ska Europe band ive just remembered was Zen Baseballbat, classic.

Anyone remember or used to go to the UK leg(s) of the Deconstruction Tour?
Wonder if thats still going on every year.
