Exactly. You get people saying I hope we keep him then people saying "why don't we just let him go?". Erm, yes, where will he go to though?

Aye. Obviously there has been reporting £10million and £12million bids. I'd take either without hesitating to be honest.

from fmttm. we could have had kaka Quote:
Barry Silkman has been on Sky Sports News talking about transfers and work he does for clubs
He refused to name chairmans and actual clubs however......
It seemed quite obvious to me to he was talking about the Boro due to transfers he was explaining.
Signing a player from Sporting Lisbon
Getting an English player on loan to a Premiership Club from abroad
He talked how this clubs chairman always deals with him
He talked how he saved the club 4 Million Euros on Perm transfer for loan player above
How this Premiership club had a new manager last season
He offered Nani to them for 3.5 Millions Pounds but they didn't take it up as they didn't know much about him
David Gill phoned this chairman to confirm they could of got him cheap, he wasn't happy as they have just paid around 20mil for him
This Premiership club were offered Kaka on the cheap when he playd in Brazil, again the club refused due the fact a work permit may of taken 6 months to get
This club have asked him to find a player that "makes things happen" and he did (Tuncay maybe?) or someone else
He also said that this club asked him for first options on many players Silkman finds abroad
There was a lot more
But it had Boro written all over it, what do you think? And does Silkman work a lot with the Boro, which would confirm it | |

6 months for a work permit? sounds rubbish they would have known within a few weeks or a month if he would or wouldnt.
And knowing Boro's love of wee brazillians 6 months wouldnt have been long would it.
he was blowing his own trumpet a lot during that interview.

yeah does sound a bit boll ocks doesn't it.
im sure he might be good for us occasionally, but it's only by accident and if it suits him.
i remember finding an old article where mcclaren turned down robben before he was at psv and ofc we almost signed roberto carlos along with juninho.
i bet these top young players are offered to loads of clubs so it's probably not uncommon to 'miss out'

true, you always hear of "we were offered him when he was 17 but turned him down, now he is a god" crap.
all that really matters is those who run out with a boro shirt on.
Speaking of which are they out yet? when do they come out?
