I've renewed.
Name a game Powlay, preferably one we might win. So, that'll be Sunderland then.
I was thinking the other day, when was the last time we won two away league games in a row?
I was a linesman for a Guisborough reserves match once. Now that was big time.

Gibson said we would sign one more 'spectactular' striker.
I think I've heard us linked with every striker in europe. saviola would be nice though.

I was flicking through fmttm earlier and I'm pretty sure there were people on there claiming to have pushed the Saviola thing until it got in the papers. No idea how mind but still, there's probably nothing in it. It would be ruddy fantastic though!
Erm, what do y'all think of Rochemback? I'm a fan but there seems to be a lot of people who think he is terrible and I find it really hard to see why they think that.

Tell you what, im really looking forward to this season coming up, i rate aliadiere highly, he came on against bolton in the cup and was a livewire, he just never really had a chance at arsenal. Tuncay Sanli is an absolutely awesome coup for Boro, though some people seem to be surprised that we have attracted his quality. All i can say to that is: Juninho, Ravannelli, Woodgate, Viduka, Emerson, Branco, Mendieta, Boksic, Yak. Should we really be surprised? ok some of those players are better than others but they all big names that have played for boro.
Id like to see us go for a pacey right winger who hugs line. Maybe Routledge? i think hes worth a go. Dunno why someone like boro havent had a gamble on Billy Sharp from scunthorpe, hes a goalscoring machine. Yes premiership is totally different but for 1-2 mill i think its worth it. We also need a attacking mid player i reckon, we have too many central players who like to play behind the ball and dont go beyond it looking for the through ball.
Defence wise, i think we pretty solid in the centre, still think we need a right back though, i think mcmahon is excellent but he cant seem to keep fit since he deputised for Xavier when we first got him and he was out with that shoulder injury. Left back im pretty happy with taylor, him and downing looking really good together.
The Saviola thing, i would at all be surprised if we got him, weve shown we can attract quality players over the years and to be fair, weve had bigger names than him at the riverside.

branco quality?
yeah, but not when he arrived at our club!!!
We had a look at some lower league forwards this summer Varney or Crewe was a name often mentioned as was Porter of oldham (i think) but neither for whatever reason came to the club.
Sharp may be along the same lines as those (been watched but nothing further)
If a forward does come in then more than likely Yak will leave. The new guy would be a bench warmer because Tuncay, Alibahbah and Gook wont be looking to have a load of bench time being new big signings. I couldnt see us sustaining 4 big forwards, hell we couldnt sustain 3 for more than a season could we (duke, yak, JFH!)
A right back is a must unless he wants to play Davies or Mcmahon and basically just paper over the cracks.
Right mid again is a must because lets face it he doesnt fancy morrison or right midfield wouldnt be a problem!
Geremi for me would fil the role well enough and wouldnt cost the earth.
Saying that the right mid from Turkey we are after would solve the problems wouldnt he!

Is he definitely using Tuncay as a forward thou. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him operate behind the front two.
As for Rochemback, he put in his best performances when he was paired with Arca in centre midfield. Cos Arca was pushing forward it allowed Rochemback to sit back and do what he does best in spraying passes about. He definitely looked a class act.
Problem is when he plays alongside Boateng and he is expected to be the one who pushes forward.
