o'neil always seems to look good against us, so I wouldn't mind him, but is he a right mid? if so, then i'd take £7.5m and him but ONLY if we get a quality striker as well. yak didn't fulfil his potential yesterday but he's still quality and i'd be wary about selling him to a mid-table rival unless we got someone better.

i agree with you in a way, but of someone offers more than we payed then we need to look to sell him because lets face facts he hasnt been at his best for a while, if we dont sell and he carrys on underpeforming then his market value will only go down.
On the other hand we could sell and he goes back to being deadly again. Its a toughy bt he hasnt seemed happy and hasnt seemed on top of his game.

Thinking hard about it, i wouldnt sell him. I think he can get back to the form he was in should we play to his advantages, getting the ball in the channels to him and have himrun at forwards.
Think back to the last 2 home games against chelski, he raped carvalho, made him look like a schoolboy.
Yak on that form is superb. With the duke we slowed down our play a bit we didnt break as fast, with Yak, Ali-bah-bah, downing et-al we can break at pace and pressurise defenders. I think thats the way for us to go...not targetman etcetc.
