£2.2million according to somebody higher in the thread. I've read he will be on 60k p/w which would see him net over £3million a year but I'm sure we have a wage cap at 50k p/w. That could be totally made up by myself though.

He had a pretty bad season on the whole. I think he only finished with 12 goals with a fair share coming from the penalty spot, which I think is a bad return.
I've seen trampolines with a better first touch, I don't think he is the best technically, his work rate is almost none existant, he his getting slower and has simply stopped scoring.
To be fair, though, I think he is just disinterested with Middlesbrough. I'm sure he would get going again if he went back to Portsmouth or anywhere else infact.

I read an interview with Yak back in around Feb and he seemed pretty happy, but his days are spent basically sleeping and watching dvds apparently. So I'm not sure he's not interested in us, I just think he is generally totally laid back. and yeah, maybe a move would spark him off for a bit.
the gazette seems pretty sure he will be allowed to leave if we sign our next 'spectacular signing', so we'd have a front line of tuncay, new guy, alliadiere and gook. not forgetting jason euell ofc.
I'd keep him, but lets face it if we do sign another top striker, he's going to be 3rd choice anyway.

How are we gonna play next season.
As things stad we have Yak, Possibly Alibahbahbahdiere, gook and Tuncay.
I wouldnt like to see alibahbah in the right midfield role...he isnt a right midfielder. I wouldnt sign for a club knowing they were about to play me out of position!
Tuncay can play up front, on the left or behind a main striker or behind a front 2.
So options are aplenty...except for the right of midfield still.

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate has moved to play down fresh speculation linking Stewart Downing with a move away from the club.
The long-term Tottenham target was reported to be interesting David Moyes at Everton.
However, Southgate has insisted that any potential bidders would be wasting their time.
"Stewart is such a good player and is now an established player in the England squad, so I'm not at all surprised that other clubs might be interested in him, but that's as far as it goes," he told the club's website.
"Stewart is definitely not for sale so other clubs would be wasting their time even considering making an offer.
"The idea that we would want to sell the likes of Stewart is way off target.
"As I've said before, we are looking to play an attractive brand of winning football next season - and Stewart will be a major part in that." |
EVERTON?!?!?!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha um....yeah.

You have apparently bid £1million for Russell Anderson,
which in my and all Aberdeen fans plus sane SPL fans would say is a bargain especially seeing the price Chris Baird is supposed to be going for oh and 8 mil for Boumsong

| That's what I've heard as well. Rumours are that we are letting Riggott go back to Derby in a exchange for Giles Barnes with us also paying a fee as well. And getting Anderson in to replace Riggott.
