Was my last home game as i go on hiliday a week today (yes ANOTHER holiday i know!)
Ive not been impressed at all over the last few weeks.
Home defeats to Citeh, Villa and Spurts. Not good enough.
Nothing has changed in the sense Middlesbrough always seem to play players out of position.
Cattermole right midfielder wont work in the long term. Against Spurts he was dire. We had a non existant right side. Davies isnt a right back, how often do you see him get past the midfielder in front of him? NEVER With a squad of utility players we will have nothing but trouble next season.
We have 3 yes THREE actual right backs in Parnaby (out of contact in summer) Sheephead (out of contract in summer) and McMahon (presumed dead) Davies gets dragged and who goes right back? Boateng! Cattermole instead of Morrison, gosh are we trying to drive the lad out of the club? Last season Maccarone would have been ahead of Morrison, this season Cattermole and anyone else...doesnt look good for him thats for sure.
Square pegs in round holes work for short periods (one off games when you have no other choice) but over a prolonged time you get found out. Downing was doubled up all match on saturday but tried hisbect, NOTHING came down the right till late on.

One good point is the freeze in prices again, i will be renewing again as im daft and rich.

So...what else, contract clause in woodys contract...kept that very quiet didnt they, although its meant to be isnt it!
Yak needs to work on his trampoline like touch, he is having a mare but he will come good he is a quality act and lets face bare facts we cant get anyone better!

No it's not true. Something like 2,500 have been sold so far according to the website.

Nathan Porritt wont be signing a new deal with the club so he no doubt will be off to chelski if the tabloids are right.

I rate him highly, he is very skillful on the ball, a lot more tricky than anyone we have at the club. To me it sends out the wrong signals not doing our best to secure this lad...or to throw a spanner in the works....has he been tapped up al-la leeds players this season? lol

A lot of people that I have spoken to who have seen him playing for the reserves don't seem to think he's anything special.

Despite what his agent keeps saying, I actually think he might end up staying. But if he does go, the rumour is that it will be to Liverpool for around £1m.

ive seen him play on more than a handful of occassions and he is a very good player, doesnt mean he will be as good as people say, but all the same he looks to have the talent to be a good player.
His touch is fantastic and like ive said his feet are very very fast

Only rumour I've heard is regarding Fenerbache for £5m which I'm sure Boro won't be interested in one bit. Can't see Boro being interested in selling him for anything less then what we paid, probably more considering he's scored 19 goals this season.
