Uncalled for singing - but your retort about Peter Voisey is wrong as he's not acutally a geordie - he just happened to be living in Blyth at the time. I'd check your facts before slinging mud the other way.
Thought we were worthy of at least a point today, but some you win, some you lose. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Where are your FACTS about us ALL being peados?

| Yes - probably. Also probably related to the Man United lot that sing about Liverpool and the Hillsbrough disaster.

Sad thing is that it seems to be becoming more vocal from the Newcastle lot each season. This season was definitely the worst I've heard from them in a long time and it's fast becoming the majority rather then the minority of the away fans.
shame really.

ah well didnt deserve a win then. We were dreadful bar the last 13 minutes.
How the hell does Euell get picked? he did **** all tonight. He should have been took off not rocky or cattermole. We had no bite in midfield so he puts euell there :/
Not seen much of Huth but he was fb tonight. My MOM for us tonight. Best part of our team was probably our defence. Hardly did anything wrong tonight. Bar the corner which they scored from.
Cant beleive maccarone hit the post twice at the end aswel
Even though we seem to keep buying strikers i think we need another one. Yakubu cant do it all on his own and theres no point ust booting balls up to him all the time, especially against Dunne and Distin. He was on the left wing most of the time.
Viduka is now out for a while and we have to rely on maccarone and euell now. Future looks bleak for us can tell you that |

what striker have we bought?
Clearly Euell isnt a forward or he would be played there not a midfielder.
I agree he was silent tonight, also **** OFF PLAYING PEOPLE OUT OF POSITION!
God, why not start morrison, cattermole isnt a RM, he worked well against arteta because he comes inside, but against citeh he was well out of his depth.
Maccarone needs a chance. He cant get himself into a game off the bench, he played great tonight more than just running his touch looked good. Give the lad a break and get him up front with the yak.
Downing was in Richards pocket tonight, the lad looked great.
Till the last 15 mins we deserved nothing, if the game was in the last 15 then we deserved a draw, but what goes around (beating the barcodes last 15) comes around!

Someone change the thread title.
Erm, are people of the impression Southgate needs time and we should give him it or should we get rid as we can't afford to take the chance?
I'm thinking he has to go. I've not really followed us too closely but it would appear he is pretty inept. Cattermole at right wing and Pogatetz earning his place at left back through his central performances are my main gripes. Either play him centre back or don't play him atall is how it should be, for me.
Also, does anybody have that picture of him that was in today's Sun?

Middlesbrough welcome Xavier back
Former Portugal defender Abel Xavier has signed a contract with Middlesbrough FC until the end of the season after completing a ban for doping.
Contract cancelled
The English Premiership team cancelled his contract in January after an appeal against a positive test for a performance-enhancing steroid was rejected by UEFA. "In no way do we condone the taking of drugs but the ban was reduced by the game's governing authorities, which suggests there was a significant reason for that," said Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate. The offence related to Middlesbrough's UEFA Cup tie at Skoda Xanthi FC on 29 September 2005.
Suspension cut
Originally banned for 18 months, Xavier's suspension was cut to 12 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in July. The Mozambique-born 33-year-old has played for a number of leading clubs including SL Benfica, PSV Eindhoven, Everton FC, Liverpool FC and AS Roma, and won 20 caps for Portugal.
