yeah, it'd be a struggle on my own. I could get an £80k mortgage on my own, maybe up to £100k as a graduate with some banks.

so basically, 4 or 5x your salary.

depends where you want to live though, could prob get most of South Bank for £80k

I've now got a Masters but not sure what banks would offer. Still live with parents in Norton (Crooksbarn) but feel the need to move out. Haven't really bothered in looking for a new job whilst doing my Masters via OU. Worked for the College now for 4 1/2 years. But now I've got my masters need to looking for something decent, hopefully within an hour or two of Middlesbrough.

you will definitely be able to get 4x your salary, maybe up to 5x. also, you won't need a deposit on some graduate schemes.
