Yeah, that was pretty good. Hawkins character just great, will be very interesting to see how "they" are, which I'm guessing will come out when him and Sarah meet.
The downside is that this episode showed that him and Jake apart, there really isn't much going on with the other characters really. Although I guess that prevents it becoming another Lost, with constant "this week we will mainly be revealing a bit about this guy" type episodes.
Good start after the break, anyhow.

I thought it was crap, I knew Jake was running from Ravenwood.

I'm tending not to define episodes on "what have we learnt?" though. Rather if I thought the story within was any good. Certainly found the Hawkins stuff to be very interesting. Jake's stuff I found OK, because I always wondered why he reacted like a big scaredy cat the first time Ravenwood was mentioned. The fact they did in his best mate means it makes a bit more sense now, rather than "they are bad people".
But as I said, other than those two it showed how little depth the other characters have. His father and brother are almost dangerously pointless. Apart from the brother knowing lawyer type stuff so inevitably Jake will be put on trial at some point for what he got up to in Afghanistan or something equally as improbable.

Yeah, it's quite worrying that he only character it seems with any depth is Hawkins, and once he's exposed it could be very boring

Decent enough episode I thought.
One thing I will say though is they need to expand the story a bit more.

Yeah, will be interesting to see "the old man", if Hawkins is allowed to get to him of course.
Nice to see Jake's dad swing a punch or two as well. Ws worried he was just going to be useless after losing the election.
Liked the idea of the news wall. Has opened it up a bit more as I'm sure the six states thing will come into play soon.

Liked this week, especially everything at the trade camp, the news, etc...... Hopefully a slight expansion, with events from outside the town leaking in, and leading to reactions will follow. I know the producers are pushing the point that this show is about how one little town would cope with all this, but the show could go stale quickly, especially with such weak characters.

| They can still keep it in the town but they need to change focus from how people are coping to whats going on in the 'outside'.

Schmuffin hitting the mark with that comment. It has picked up after the break. Obviously not as good as Hiros, but a clear 2nd now for me.
