Well I would put a fair bit of that down to people clinging onto something, on the basis that their family (in the case of the kids) have been completely wiped out and they have no idea what to do next.

I'd say the reactions of the mayor etc are quite daft, they should be more organised. But the kids and the woman who all she has to live for is the shop? Don't think their storylines are too far fetched in all honesty.

And the kid isn't telling anyone about the train because he want to get attention from the shopkeeper, who is quite blatantly his replacement mum.

I'd like to know how the kid managed to get the food back to the shop on his own. I think he said the train was 5 miles away and we saw him get it to it by foot.

He probably didn't then. My memory isn't the best. But still, even if the train's just down the road it's gonna be hard for him to move all them boxes of food by himself.

Hawkins pretty much the only character who is holding my interest right now. Read over the weekend that the network renewed the show for a full season, so at least we know we will get 20+ shows out of this, which means facts won't be abundant right away (clearly a Lost clone in that sense).

A few things I'm unsure of. A town that size (10,000 inhabitants I think they said), and Hawkins is the only one with internet access? What about the alien abduction conspiracy theory nutjob from the first episode, the one with the radio? Surely he would be best suited to this scenario?

Looks very much like Hawkins was in some way connected to the attacks. Obviously not his wife and kids, but what I'm wondering is, why pick them? The "wife" could be his sister? He said something about only being allowed to bring your family to Victor, so I guess they must be related somehow?
