any of you know anything about the 6'8" giant Øyvind Hoås, he has been at trial on Luton, seamms he wants a move to England when his contract is up
Good player, a Flo-esque type of player who is good with his feet even though he's so tall.
Should be good enough for League One, but he's not a fantastic goalscorer, but paired with a quick striker he could do really well </BLOCKQUOTE>
he was supposed to play for us tonight against Sandnes Ulf in our tour of Norway but match was cancelled because of a waterlogged pitch and his club want him back before the next game we play in Norway

Typical Hammarby supporter. I don't really care that much, but it is sooooo cool to be at Söderstadion with all the fantastic fans (Which we all know are a lie anyway)
And the two other swedes on here are Göteborg supporters... Great!
Well... There can at least be some interesting discussions. Hopefully this thread won't die in a few weeks that most threads about scandinavian football seem to do. I might even try to add a few thoughts myself now and then, even if I prefer to continue with my longtime lurking instead.

Yep, the Norwegian Tippeligaen more entertaining than for a long while.
Stabæk looking good. What players Nannskog, Tchoy and especially Alanzinho are
Brann choke as always, and well, Rosenborg, every pundit's favourite with a really strong squad, aren't playing consistently at all. Lillestrøm with fat Nordlie at the helm won't win the league this year, and Nordlie will probably take the national team job when Hareide resigns after failing to qualify for Euro 2008.
They really need to change a lot at Rosenborg, because losing their old guard and trying to patch things up with the best players in Norway isn't working. They need more young blood coming through like Skjeldbreid. They have all that success from the 90's and all that Champions League money, but yet they haven't managed to get young players through the ranks (apart from Skjeldbreid). They are Norway's "Real Madrid", and show that having all the right names doesn't necessarily mean winning everything.

The teams I support in Scandinavia are:
Silkeborg (Denmark)
IFK Göteborg (Sweden)
HJK (Finland)
I don't know which team I support in Norway.
Stabæk has a Brazilian who's been really good, that may be something for you </BLOCKQUOTE>
I don't support teams based on the amount of Brazilians playing for them.
How is that player called? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Also, what's his position? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Alanzinho, central midfielder, quite attacking

Alanzinho (or Alan, as he was known here) was pretty poor in Brazil.
I am glad he is doing well abroad. Is he going to do an "Afonso Alves" and move to a team in Holland or Germany or other "bigger" league?
He has said that he wishes to try his luck in a bigger league, although Stabæk probably won't let him go now as they are on top of the league </BLOCKQUOTE>
If Stabæk win the league, I guess it would be interesting for him to at least play the CL before moving to a Heerenveen-like team.
