The Royal League is off due to the organizers not getting a good enough price for the TV-rights.
| A Brann fan myself, for a couple of years now.
Started out of spite, because all my friends were Rosenborg fans, but now I've gotten to love Brann, and Bergen.
The atmosphere at Brann Stadion is so much better than the atmosphere at Lerkendal.
And PS: I'm a trønder
The Royal League was such a joke, so glad it's off.
It's not official yet though is it?
Saw some Dane calling the Norwegians idiots for saying the tournament was no more. </BLOCKQUOTE>
You probably mean Børge Bach, the chairman of AAB. The guy is obssessed about that tournament
I really hope it'll close. TBH no fans gave a rats ass about it. For instance on e of my mates, who's a big Brøndby fan didn't care about that BIF won it, even they beat FCK in the final. And if people don't care about such things, there's no point what so ever to continue that tournament IMO </BLOCKQUOTE>
didn't help having most of the games on midweek evenings.
Games in the RL should have been Saturday or Sunday games tbh

That would still not change the fact that the only people caring about the tournament was the people in the clubboards coz there was a opportunity to earn some money.
Come on, who wants to see a friendly tournament ( coz that's what RL in fact is/was) played on awful pitches and involving many reserve players, when you can see EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga etc in the winter?

Brann party was tonight and again insane.
A 5-2 victory over Viking was a nice start for the Championship celebration.
Now talking serious i think Brann team doesn't have bench and is weaker then Rosenborg.
I think the problem with Rosenborg were motivation (many years in row being champions) but a impartial eye can see clearly they have the best XI in Norway.
The next Brann goal is to achieve the same as Rosenborg in Europe but for that they have to hire some qualty players for key positions and keep Andersen and Huseklepp and Oppdål here.
Very hard times for Brann i foresee.
Ps: I'm a bergenser |

Such a shame that Start were relegated, as they actually play watchable football.
That can not be said about Odd, with one of the lowest average attendances, as well as being boring.
