). I'm sure that Croatian fans celebrated it as much as we swedes did in -94 or Turkey in -02. It ain't a win but it sure beats loosing in a QF any day of the week.
well of course. it's better than losing in the quarters because essentially it's losing in the semis, same as 4th place.
can't speak personally as i don't support a national team per se, but i don't think whether my team finished 3rd or 4th would bother me, the disappointment of losing the semi would overshadow the whole thing. should do away with the playoff really.
