Exactly, why on earth would you do it if you might get hit up for child support later on in life. Sometimes the law is just a bit stupid.

Well she's saying she has written proof such as birthday cards and that picture in your link is pretty damning.

And the mother's huswife or whatever they're called. More likely she did one, and as the mother mentions that the bloke was not her friend but her partner's she then decided to go for the dosh.

Think it's wrong to say that they have 'nothing to do with it', given that it's only by virtue of the current CSA infrastructure that this guy is being forced to pay. Not that they can bend the rules just for him, but it does raise questions over the policies and regulations that govern who they are entitled to chase. (The fact that they wouldn't be allowed if they legally adopted is an apt example).

if you do it the right way and go to a fertility clinic, then you dont claim parental rights to the child, the fact that this idiot was doing a "favour" and done it outside the clinc, means he is in fact now liable, the idiot

but my argument is, if the women were married and as a couple, then he really should have to pay, but thats just my opinion and the law says otherwise.
