imo, she didnt put his name on the birth certificate when she had to name the father, therefore that should have exempt him from this kind of backlash, especially as she knew he was the dad at the time, yet chose to ignore that fact when it suited her, now it suits her to chase him for money. she was legally "married" to her lesbian lover, let her fork out some money.

but thats just my opinion, the laws the law.

be interesting to see how this pans out.

It's obvious that I mean the CSA are just doing their job seen as it's mentioned in the article twice and I responded by mentioning the CSA.

There's a clear 'slippery slope' issue here. If this guy gets off then it may encourage men who shag around to falsely claim a verbal agreement that they wouldn't be financially responsible, and escape liability.

Didnt name him on the certificate and he was also supposedly acting all fatherly taking time off to help with kids and all.

A cynic might say she didnt want him on the certificate as she knew he was keen on a family but couldnt afford it right now and didnt want him having any future, potential claim on this kid with his wife (+ "normal family") vs her being dumped by the lesbo heartbreaker and battling to bring up the kid as a single mother that likes to munch the flange !

From the CSA's pov he's admitted to being the father, they have proof he's taken the role of a father for a period of time and he has zero proof of any written agreement not to be held responsible in the future. Plus the daft **** did it twice. It really is a no-brainer.

The woman had entered into a civil union with another woman, you'd hope that in this case, that relationship may make a difference as opposed to every other bloke saying "she said i didnt have to pay nuffin'

In that case you'd want changes made so that the CSA can judge cases in that way but at the moment they can't so I don't see who they're at fault here.
