Just so you know, you get another reward for getting another 120 stars with the surprise you get for beating the game first time. That was terribly phrased, but I'm trying not to spoil anything.

You can collect the stars you want...but on some levels the level design is slightly different...for example in the Honey Comb the 1st star you don't have the vine to take you across the water but if you pick the 2nd level you are able to get all the stars includint eh first if you so wish...including the Luigi one even though the game tells you to use the 1st level to find the star...

Can I ask if it uses the motion sensor or if it's a good old fashioned button pressing console game?

I wouldn't mind a combination of both, but if it's purely a motion sensor game I won't buy it.

mostly just the controller, although you spin the wiimote round to attack, and use the pointer to collect starbits.

There are some other sections that use the pointer but not many
