why is it a 3 match ban anyway, it wasn't for violent conduct so shouldn't it only be a 1 match ban or are the FA being right arses and putting it as a 3 match ban because of the appeal

| It was for violent conduct. He was sent off because the ref deemed the tackle to be reckless.
Only time you get a one match ban for a straight red is when it is a professional foul.
