Woking FC are delighted to announce that our Chairman Chris Ingram has received an award from Woking YMCA for his outstanding contribution to the local community, and for young people, in Woking.
To quote Terry Eckersley, CEO, Woking YMCA
“We are really impressed with the outstanding work you continue to do in the town of Woking. Others honoured at this event are Ray Morgan OBE CEO Woking Borough Council and Jid Hussain who is doing a great work with sport and young people.”
but willing to send the towns football club into oblivion.
Ray Morgan is also an utter cnut </BLOCKQUOTE>
The fact that he'll be staying on until the development is complete when we sensibly revert to part-time football for 08/09 seems to have passed you by.
He won't continue to pump huge amounts in for full time football. Part-time = less money = Ingram staying on.
Also, if the talks on July 26th go our way on the development, then he will also be staying on.
Of course it's all irrelevant if we win promotion

part time football = no hope
I dont want Ingram to stay on, whats the benefit for him if were part time. maybe if we spent the money on retaining and buying decent playing staff we wouldnt be here. The time to withdraw funds isnt when were in the conference. The only way we can be self reliant is to get into the football league. Thats the time to withdraw funds.

You are aware that Ingram has paid for all the consultation for the redevelopment out of his own pocket? That's a serious amount of money thusfar.
We were going bust. Ingram came in and has poured money in to help us become self sufficient. The council is standing in the way of this and he's had enough.
The progress is being made off the pitch. Thanks to Buchanan being best buddies with Cockerill we've been crap on the pitch. It was Ingram that contributed a lot towards finally getting rid of the pair.
It's because of Ingram we've survived and it's only thanks to Ingram that we could survive any longer.
And if you think that buying promotion is the solution to all our problems, God help you.

waaaaay hold on there. Firstly this redevelopment isnt soley for the clubs benefit at all, Ingram also stands to make a bit aswell. Ingram hasnt poured money in to make us self sufficient were still loosing £500k a year. Hardly progress ay?
The council are not in the way at all in any shape or form. you are aware of phase 2? Providing we get into the football league there has always been since 1998 an agreement to redevelop moaners corner and the the cardinals bar stand thing to turn the stadium to 10,000 capacity. This is from the council with no funding coming from woking fc.
Thats the trouble theres been no progress on the pitch. Fans are getting sick of it, attendances are down and we werent playing attractive football. Yes partly due to Cockerill. Thanks to Buchanan we won the FA Trophy with Geoff chapple and had an fa cup run.
Im not saying buying our way to promotion is the answer at all. I mean that more of Ingrams loans should have been spent retaining decent players such as Richardson and Oliver and then shape a team to challenge for promotion and self sufficiency

Firstly, I'll admit I may be wrong on the council issue. I've only been following the club for 3/4 years now so am not entirely sure on some issues and remember reading about stuff similar to what you've said.
Events off the pitch control what happens on the pitch. You'll find the majority of fans would be satisfied with mid table next year. It wouldn't have been such a huge problem last year if we hadn't been playing such awful football.
Ingram's money is shaping our future. Very few fans question the man and I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

pretty good game yesterday: 0-0 until the break, then Cambridge changed 9 players and came straight out and took the lead Added another couple in the last five minutes, and to be honest 3-0 was no less than they deserved.
