I need to save money this season, new house and all that (hopefully), but I can't go to support the side which is only a couple of minutes walk from where I should be buying.

Too expensive for a start, but no interest in watching Premiership football. That leaves Reading Town, where I have been this past season, but left feeling I'd rather do a bit of groundhopping round the local area.

Anyone have any recommendations for decent places to visit below the Conference within 90 minutes drive of Reading?

I've only been to Scours Lane (Reading Town), Park Lane (Canvey) and Clarence Park (St Albans) are the only ones to even vaguely fit this description. Will cross post this elsewhere, but suggestions here would be most welcome.

Probably only be in London for another two or three years, so I'm trying to crack off all the grounds within the M25 over the next few seasons. Reckon I've probably done about half.

Anybody got a handy list? down to about step 4/5

Rob,

Tony Kempster is your man.

I love his site! He could do with getting out a bit more, but he is definitely a good friend of non-league football.

Kempster is a legend.

The Premier and Football leagues asked me to pay them £8726.55 to publicise their fixtures on this site. As this site is run on a non-profit basis, I declined to pay and so no fixtures appear.

Come down to Chesham and watch Aylesbury United a bit, we were brilliant towards the end of the season and have made some good signings, should be pushing for playoffs this year.

maybe I'll draw up a spreadsheet of all the teams down to Step 4, Autoroute them to find out how near/far they are, and attack them in order.

Infact, I will do that.

Should you wish to venture fifteen miles south of the M25, head on down to Godalming. You might just double their attendance on a midweek fixture. I plan on going more often this season, although I suspect their survival at this level and their plans to invest more in the squad will mean a price hike to £9 for a ticket.

I've posted pretty much the same thing there too. It is a good site.

Actually I thought about a trip to Godalming last year. Never went, but I do recall they managed to spell the club name incorrectly on their website.
